To give you a few more weeks to get your applications in for the graduate opportunity of a lifetime, we have extended the deadline for applications to Sunday 13th May 2012!

The initial deadline for applications for The Graduate Apprentice 2012 is 30th April 2012 – so only 1 week to go. Make sure you get your application in to be considered for the chance to define your career.

Applications will be open until 30th April 2012.
The Graduate Apprentice scheme is an unrivalled learning and career development opportunity. The scheme is completely unique to Birmingham, and will offer the winning candidate the chance to try three different firms in the city, as well as the chance to meet the decision makers of Birmingham through links with Birmingham Future. Over the course of the year the selected winning candidate will experience the full package as below -
• To experience three 16 week placements at three different diverse firms
• To learn about the Professional and Business Services sector
• To enjoy the vibrant city lifestyle offered by the UK’s youngest city, Birmingham
• To meet and network with the city’s other young professionals
• A year’s complimentary membership to Birmingham Future
• To attend ‘successful development’ seminars
• To attend the prestigious Birmingham Young Professional of the Year awards dinner
• Guidance and support of a mentor through Birmingham Future’s mentoring scheme
• Vital experience to enhance their CV and improve their job opportunities
• All whilst earning a competitive salary. (Last year it was £18,000 pro rata)
The application process for the Graduate Apprentice 2012 is now open.
Interested candidates are required to complete an application form and answer a series of questions about why they believe they should be the next Graduate Apprentice. A shortlist of candidates will then be invited to an interview and assessment day. There the new Graduate Apprentice will be selected by a panel of representatives from the placement firms.
The selected graduate will start their year in September 2012.
